Veterinary Specialist Services have just wrapped-up their inaugural Annual Veterinary Conference, which was held at Rydges Southbank in Brisbane.
Over six days, VSS hosted surgery and ultrasound workshops as well as a conference that boasted "world-class" talks.
Some of the world's experts in their field were on hand to deliver talks that received fantastic feedback from the attendees. The international speakers also had a great time and commented how much they enjoyed being part of the first VSS Conference.
One of the crowd favorites for his entertaining talks; Emeritus Professor Rick Le Couteur from UC Davis commented "Many thanks to the VSS team for a wonderful conference experience in Brisbane last week. I thoroughly enjoyed the venue and events. I really enjoyed the interactions with the attendees and other speakers etc. I would say an amazing effort".
Professor Jane Sykes, an ex-pat Aussie also from UC Davis had this to say "Thank you for the opportunity to be part of an outstanding conference. I really enjoyed meeting some new veterinary colleagues, getting together with old friends, learning from the other speakers, and your audience's insightful questions. It was fantastic all around."
Amongst all the learning, delegates were able to unwind and enjoy some time networking with other delegates at the social events organised by VSS. These were just as popular with the delegates and provided some great photos. Everyone who attended the events said they had a fantastic time!
Veterinary Specialist Services would like to thank all the attendees, international and local speakers and sponsors for their participation in our first Annual VSS Conference. Your support helped shape the event and provide confidence that next year will be bigger and better.
VSS will be running a conference again in 2018 which will be held at Rydges, South Bank in Brisbane from the 9th to 14th March 2018. Our program will include six days of workshops relating to surgery, ultrasound and neurology; several international and local speakers; a three day vet stream AND a two day nurse stream.
We look forward to seeing everyone again!
