Prior to Arrival: The current QLD Government directive is if you have been to one of the locations during the times listed on this QLD Health website you must follow instructions and will not be able to enter our premises. Please make sure you check this website before travelling to one of our hospitals for your appointment and let us know if you need to reschedule your appointment. VSS will remain open during the current lockdown, but we are limiting access to one person per patient into our hospitals. We will require visitors to wear a facemask while they are in the building. Please advise if you do not have a facemask and we will provide one for you. Please advise if you would prefer not to enter our hospital and we will arrange for a contactless consult with our vets.
Border Crossing: Currently entry to QLD from NSW is only permitted for those living within the border zone wishing to cross into QLD for an essential purpose as listed on the QLD Government website. To cross the border into QLD for an appointment with Veterinary Specialist Services, clients will need to complete a Border zone travel(X) Pass, choosing the Medical/Healthcare option as their reason for entry. VSS will provide clients with a letter that confirms their appointment with Veterinary Specialist Services. This can be used to confirm their requirement to visit Veterinary Specialist Services for essential services and will assist with their border crossing. Clients complete this online form for their border pass. Relevant information relating to crossing the NSW border into QLD is available here.
