At Veterinary Specialist Services Carrara, we provide expert-led care from consultation through to recovery - with continuity and compassion at the heart of everything we do.

We are proud to be locally owned and operated, with our specialist veterinarians actively working on the floor of each hospital. Our hospital has been part of the Gold Coast veterinary community for over 25 years, delivering trusted care alongside our referring vets.

As a referral-only specialist practice, we partner with family veterinarians — we do not compete with them. Our goal is to complement their care and ensure pets receive the highest level of specialist attention when needed.

24-Hour Patient Care, Every Day of the Year

Thanks to our long-standing partnership with Animal Emergency Services (AES), who are located within our Carrara facility, we are able to provide genuine 24/7 patient support.
While Veterinary Specialist Services offers consultations from 8 am to 6 pm, our hospitalised patients are monitored and cared for round-the-clock by our team, every day of the year. This ensures true continuity of care, even outside standard hours.

24 hour Intensive care and ventilator support
Veterinary MRI (through the Underwood Hospital)
A Vet Portal providing Referring Clinics with direct access to patient's clinical records, pathology results and imaging, plus;
Direct access to our appointment system for booking referrals.
