Position Overview:
Our cardiology team is growing rapidly and we are seeking a nurse to assist team in consultations, Echocardiography, ECG Holter placement and removal, Thoracic radiographs, Blood Pressure measurements, Triage and stabilisation of emergency cardiac patients such as heart failure, Pericardial effusions and cardiac arrythmias as well as assisting in specialised cardiac surgical procedures
Our Cardiology team work closely alongside our Internal medicine team, as well as our emergency and Pet Intensive Care Unit team, therefore delivering gold standard patient care 24 hours as day
This unique nursing opportunity role responsibilities include preparation for specific procedures such as application of Holter monitors , monitoring patient vitals, and post-op care. The role demands maintaining high standards of hygiene and a compassionate approach to patient care. Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining cardiology equipment, performing in-house laboratory tests, and assisting in specialised cardiac surgical procedures.

About our new Cardiology Nurse
Our ideal Cardiology Nurse is a passionate individual with a strong foundation in veterinary nursing and a special interest in cardiology. This role calls for excellent animal handling skills and a commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care. A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is required, along with at least 2 years experience in general practice nursing. Proficiency in Ezyvet is a plus. We are looking for someone who is well-organised, adept at time management, and ready to support our team of nurses, receptionists, and veterinarians.
