DR EVIE KNIGHT

Dr Evie Knight is a registered specialist in veterinary dermatology and the founder and managing director of Animal Dermatology Specialist. She is one of a very small number of veterinary dermatologists worldwide to be dual boarded in veterinary dermatology, having completed two specialist dermatology residency training programs and passing both specialist board examinations on her first attempt. She holds Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Veterinary Dermatology and Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD).

Throughout her career, Dr Knight has published peer reviewed scientific journal articles, presented at conferences within Australia and internationally, lectured at universities, mentored dermatology interns and residents, and served as an examiner for specialist dermatology board examinations. She now plays an active role in training future veterinary dermatology specialists through Animal Dermatology Specialist’s residency training program.

Through Animal Dermatology Specialist, Dr Knight leads a multi clinician veterinary dermatology team supporting dogs, cats and selected other species with complex skin, ear, allergy and nail conditions across Queensland. The team works closely with referring veterinarians to provide practical dermatology care, continuity of case management and tailored treatment plans for chronic, recurrent or difficult to manage cases.
