Diplomate ECVS

Jack graduated from Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, in 2016 and started his career as a veterinarian working in Launceston, Tasmania as a mixed animal veterinarian. Jack tried his hand at all things veterinary, but surgery has always been his passion. As a result, he moved up to Canberra in 2021 where he completed a surgical internship and residency at Animal Referral Hospital. During this time he attained Membership to the Small Animal Surgery chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Upon completion of his training, Jack moved to VSS to work as a clinical registrar, and shortly after, passed his specialist board examinations and was conferred as a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Jack has a strong interest in neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and soft tissue surgery, but aims to be involved in all aspects of surgery at VSS. In addition to surgery Jack enjoys the process of research and has published articles on oral reconstructive techniques, a unique colonic injury, CT assessment of bone healing, and negative pressure wound therapy devices.
