DR JEYLAN ASLAN

Jey graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013 with First Class Honours and at the top of her class.  She has worked across multiple multidisciplinary specialist hospitals in south-east Queensland and has been in dermatology practice since 2016.  She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and a registered specialist in veterinary dermatology.  She is a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and is the current President of the Dermatology Chapter of the College.  She also sits on the administrative and scholarship committees of the World Association of Veterinary Dermatology and is part of the founding organisational committee of the AiANZ Veterinary Dermatology Symposium, a new biannual dermatology conference being first held in Nara, Japan this year.  She enjoys teaching and is senior lecturer at the University of Queensland where she teaches the undergraduate course in small animal dermatology.  She is an examiner for the ANZCVS Dermatology Fellowship examination.  In her “spare” time she has also founded and hosts a dermatology journal club attended by dermatology specialists and residents across Australia and New Zealand to discuss recent publications and advances in the art and science of dermatology.  Her special interests in dermatology lie in feline dermatology and management of complex allergy cases.
