DR JOHANN BOONE

Dr Johann Boone is a board certified veterinary dermatologist and registered specialist in veterinary dermatology with Animal Dermatology Specialist. She completed her residency at the Royal Veterinary College in England and holds a Master of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) and a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS).

Dr Boone graduated from Murdoch University in 2004 and gained broad clinical experience across Australia, New Zealand and the UK before commencing dermatology training in 2017. She returned to Queensland in 2021 and has since provided specialist dermatology services across South East Queensland and beyond, including regional visiting services.

Through Animal Dermatology Specialist, Dr Johann supports dogs, cats and selected other species with complex skin, ear, allergy and nail conditions. Her clinical interests include immune mediated skin diseases and the management of complex ear conditions, with a focus on practical, tailored care for chronic, recurrent or difficult to manage cases.

Throughout her career, Dr Boone has contributed to published research in dermatopathology, presented at national and international veterinary conferences, and supported the professional development of veterinary students and colleagues through mentorship, training program support and continuing education initiatives.
