Mikayla graduated in 2016 and began her veterinary career in Grafton, NSW. After her first year in practice, she moved to Cairns where she spent the next eight years. During this time, she became the Head Veterinarian of a busy small animal practice and continued to develop her strong interest in internal medicine and ultrasonography.
Throughout this period, she also completed her GP Certificate in Small Animal Medicine and her Memberships in Small Animal Medicine, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development and providing high-quality patient care.
In 2026, Mikayla relocated to Brisbane to begin a residency in Small Animal Medicine, where she is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and providing advanced care for her patients.
Outside of work, she enjoys all outdoor activities including hiking and wakeboarding with her partner Adam, as well as spending quality time with her family, adorable nephews and Golden Retriever, Annie.
