DR REBECCA MACCOMBIE

Rebecca (Bec) graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2018 and spent two years in general practice before joining Veterinary Specialist Services. She went on to complete both a rotating internship and a senior surgical internship, where she developed a strong passion for surgery and the hospital environment, and has since remained with the team as a surgical (hospital) veterinarian.

After taking time away to welcome her son, Bec returned to the surgery department and now plays an active role in the hip clinic alongside Dr Gordon. She is currently undertaking her Memberships in Small Animal Surgery through Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.

Bec has a particular interest in orthopaedics (particularly total hip replacements) and advanced spinal surgeries, and enjoys being involved in cases that require detailed planning and continuity of care.

Outside of work, Bec enjoys spending time with her son and partner, along with their three dogs Archie, Phoebe, and Nuckles. She also enjoys staying active, visiting the beach and reading a good book!
