DR SARA WEST

Dr Sara joined the Veterinary Specialist Services Jindalee team in 2024 as a valued member of our Emergency Department. With a lifelong love of animals and science, she began her career in the veterinary field as a nurse after completing a Veterinary Technology degree in 2007, before going on to study Veterinary Science. During her studies, she worked as an emergency nurse, which sparked her passion for emergency and critical care. After graduating, Sara spent nearly two years in general practice before returning to the emergency field where she truly thrives.

Sara is known for her calm and confident approach to even the most complex cases. Her surgical skills, clinical knowledge, and ability to think on her feet are deeply respected by her peers. She communicates clearly and compassionately with both clients and colleagues, and is always willing to collaborate when faced with challenging cases. Beyond her medical expertise, Sara is a supportive, uplifting team member who brings warmth and humour to every shift.
