Sandra qualified as a physiotherapist in 2004 having completed both a Bachelor in Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Exercise Science at Griffith University. She then spent some time working in private practise and public health before relocating to the UK to complete a Master of Science in Veterinary Physiotherapy at the prestigious Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 2008. Sandra has worked within Australia, the UK and Ireland as both a human and animal physiotherapist. She currently divides her time between the Veterinary Specialist Centre at Carrara, the Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre and as a mobile equine physiotherapist.
Sandra believes that animals, like humans, need the attention of physiotherapists to properly treat their musculoskeletal injuries and neurological conditions and she enjoys working closely with the veterinarian and owner to provide the best treatment and rehabilitation programme for your pets. Sandra believes it is this team approach that yields the best results, optimising your pet's function and performance. Sandra has a special interest in the working and sporting dog and gets great pleasure from being able to assist them back to high-level competition or work.
In her downtime, she enjoys spending time at the beach with her two rescue dogs, Kyzer (Rhodesian Ridgeback x) and Holly (Bull Arab x) and travelling the globe with her husband and young family.
